Icha Icha Massage Chiang Mai

Icha Icha is a nuru shop with a soapland theme rather than a large Thai soapy house. It suits a visitor staying near the Night Bazaar who wants a simple, fixed price: ฿2,500 for an hour or ฿3,000 for 90 minutes, which its website says includes everything. Google reviewers often praise the clean rooms and the clear prices. The main weakness, which comes up in several reviews, is choice: at busy times only a few therapists may be free, and some reviewers felt their session was rushed. If you want a bigger line-up and a classic bathhouse, look at the best soapy massage in Chiang Mai guide.

Icha Icha is listed as a nuru massage shop that also offers soapy-style bathing. Its website describes five-star Japanese soapland-style playrooms, says its nuru gel is imported from Japan, and promises full-service nuru with no hidden charges.

The listed services are nuru, body-to-body, a bath and private rooms. Staff are listed as English- and Japanese-speaking. Google reviewers mention a bubble bath and an inflatable mattress in the rooms, and several describe the rooms as clean.

The shop sits in the Night Bazaar and Chang Khlan area, close to the hotels around the market.

The address is 73/2-3 Charoen Prathet Rd, Tambon Chang Moi, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50100. Charoen Prathet Road runs parallel to the river, a short walk from the Night Bazaar. The website describes the location as the Old Town, but the address is east of the moat, closer to the market.

Chiang Mai has no train system. From most central hotels it is a short Grab, taxi or songthaew ride, and from the Night Bazaar you can walk.

Icha Icha is open every day from 11:00 to 22:00.

It suits someone near the Night Bazaar who wants nuru at a fixed, published price, in a clean room with a bath, and who is happy to book on LINE. English- and Japanese-speaking staff help first-time visitors.

It suits less well anyone who wants a wide line-up to choose from, or a long, unhurried session at peak times. For other options across the city, see the Chiang Mai hub.

Icha Icha has a 4.4 Google rating from 90 reviews. Most recent reviews are four or five stars.

What reviewers like: clean rooms and good hygiene come up repeatedly, as do clear, reasonable prices with no haggling. Several reviewers describe the therapists as friendly, kind and attentive, and a few name the same therapist more than once.

What they don't: a smaller but consistent group complains about limited choice, saying only a few therapists were available, and two one-star reviews describe them as older than expected. Several reviewers also say the session felt rushed or ended early. One adds that the photos sent on LINE did not match who was there on arrival.

In short, the reviews describe a clean shop with honest pricing, but a thin line-up at times. Booking on LINE and asking who is in that day is the sensible approach.
