How venues are listed and ranked
Every list on Soapy Bangkok follows the same rules. No venue pays to be listed or to move up. The home page separately groups Maria, Tara, La Belle and Lalisa as the big houses named by the owner; that group does not change their list ranks.
Soapy houses first
This is a soapy guide, so venues whose main business is soapy massage (อาบอบนวด) are listed ahead of shops that only also offer it, such as nuru shops with soapy on the menu. A soapy house never sits below one of those shops on a city or area list.
Then by rating, reviews and published information
Within each group, the order comes from:
- Google rating, weighted by review count. A rating is pulled towards the average until enough reviews back it up, so a 5.0 from three reviews doesn't outrank a 4.6 from four hundred.
- Small bonuses for published information: a rate card, a website and opening hours. A venue that tells customers what it charges and when it's open is more useful to you than one that doesn't.
Pages for a BTS or MRT station are the exception: they list venues by distance from the station.
Where the facts come from
- Prices come from venue menus, attributed third-party references and dated Google-review payments. Review payments are labelled as historical customer reports, not official menus, and are excluded from offer schema. The lowest item may be a separate treatment rather than a full soapy session. Duration medians use only items that state that duration.
- Hours, addresses and ratings come from Google Maps listings and the venues' own websites.
- Review summaries report only what several Google reviewers mention. Some reviews may be fake or written by staff, so patterns count, not single reviews.
- Walking times to stations are approximate.
Nothing on the site comes from a visit; it is compiled from what venues and their customers publish.
When something is wrong
