Tara Massage

Tara Massage in Hua Hin is a budget Thai massage shop, and its reviews say so plainly: oil, Thai, foot and head-and-shoulder massage at local prices, with the one published rate at ฿400 for a 60-minute oil massage. Google files it only as a massage spa. It suits hotel guests around the Marriott and Market Village who want a cheap, often strong massage, and Google reviewers rate it 4.4 from 34 reviews. Skip it if you came for a soapy house; nothing in its listing or reviews points to one, and one reviewer was explicitly disappointed to find a plain massage shop. If you were looking for Tara, the soapy house in Bangkok, this is a different venue; see our Bangkok soapy massage guide.

Reviewers describe a small, simple shop: one calls it a tin-roofed building with strong air conditioning, others say it is clean but cramped, with small rooms, and one asks the shop to stop companions opening the curtains during a massage. The massages they mention are Thai, oil, aromatherapy, foot, and head, back and shoulder. Several single out therapists by name for strong, skilled work on sore backs and legs.

No service menu, room details or staff information are published, and the shop has no website.

Price reference from Google reviews (dated 2025-11-04):

These are payments reported by customers, not an official menu or confirmation of today’s rate. Where a duration is missing, we leave it unspecified. Confirm the total, the session length and inclusions directly before agreeing to a booking.

The Google Maps listing gives +66616819314 as the phone number. Ask the venue directly about booking, availability, session length and the total price. The guide does not take reservations or infer whether walk-ins are accepted.

The shop has no street address on its listing, only the plus code HX56+V8C, Hua Hin. Reviewers place it a minute or two on foot from the Marriott hotel and a short walk from Market Village, which are the easiest landmarks to use. Search the plus code or the shop name on Google Maps. For other venues in town, see our Hua Hin page.

It suits holidaymakers staying near the Marriott or Market Village who want an inexpensive Thai or oil massage between 09:00 and 22:00. It does not suit anyone looking for a soapy massage or a quiet, upmarket spa.

Tara Massage has a Google rating of 4.4 from 34 reviews. Most are positive and come from tourists staying nearby: several praise strong, effective massage that relieved back, neck and leg pain, friendly staff, and low or reasonable prices. A few therapists are named repeatedly, and several reviewers mention the shop's closeness to the Marriott.

The complaints are about skill and setting. Several one-star reviewers say their massage was little more than rubbing oil in, one says staff chatted and laughed during the session, and a three-star reviewer found a 90-minute massage rushed and too oily. Others note the shop is small and basic. One reviewer who expected an adult massage parlour says no extras were offered.
